Special Observance “World War I Remembered’ 

Event Description

The public is invited and encouraged to join the Stanly County Historical Society and Stanly County Veterans Service Organizations on Sunday, November 11 for an observance of 100 years since the Armistice of 1918. 

The program that day will be “World War I Remembered.”  The speaker will be Charlie Knight, curator of Military History at the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh.  Local participants will also present music, stories, and poems related to WWI.
The event is free, and everyone is invited to attend.
