Larry Hall, Secretary of the N.C. Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) along with Senator Harry Brown (Onslow County) recently participated in a Veterans Entrepreneurship workshop sponsored by the Carolina Small Business Development fund (CSBDF), Jacksonville-Onslow Chamber of Commerce and JPMorgan Chase & Co. The event was held in Jacksonville, N.C. Attendees included veterans and their spouses as well as local civic and corporate leaders. The workshop provided information regarding new resources and programs available for veteran and military spouse owned small businesses as well as the opportunity to learn about sources of funding.

The program is part of a series of Carolina Small Business Development Fund veteran initiatives that DMVA supports. Carolina Small Business Development Fund has received more than $1 million from JPMorgan Chase to expand its Veteran Entrepreneurship Program across the
Carolinas and Florida. The Fund provides 100% financing to veteran-owned businesses.
