Paul Dordal

Vice Chair

Paul is a 1971 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and served 29 years on active duty with the Air Force until his retirement in 2000 as a Brigadier General. He was a command pilot and flew F-4, F-16, A-10 fighter aircraft with over 3,700 flying hours, including 20 combat sorties over Iraq.

Paul commanded the 23rd Wing “Flying Tigers” the 43rd Airlift Wing at Pope AFB and the 51st Fighter Wing at Osan Air Base, Korea; and was the vice-commander of 7th Air Force, U.S. Forces Korea. 

During his military career he served as Senior Military Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force; J3 Joint Operations Division on the Joint Staff; and Commander of the College of Aerospace Doctrine, Research, and Education at Air University. His last active duty assignment was deputy director for Air and Space Operations, Headquarters, USAF.

Paul most recently provided consulting services to defense communities and military installations to establish public private partnerships, military transition services and preparing for the next Base Realignment and Closure proceedings. Prior to that he was the VP for Business Development for Global Services Corp in Fayetteville, NC. From 2006 to 2010 Paul was the Executive Director for the BRAC RTF, a partnership of local governments for the 11 counties near Fort Bragg. The BRAC RTF was organized to unify the community planning effort and coordinate regional planning, workforce development, innovative educational programs and economic development.
