Bibiana Asis

Bibiana Asis currently serves as the Director for the State Veterans Homes Administration at the NC Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. She is a U.S. Army Veteran and experienced operations and program management professional with more than 15 years of experience across military, public-sector, and private-sector environments. With a background in strategic operations, project management, process improvement, and organizational change, Bibiana brings a service-driven leadership approach centered on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. She believes strong organizations are built through effective systems, meaningful partnerships, and a commitment to serving others with purpose and integrity.

Before serving as the State Veterans Homes Director of Administration, Bibiana built a diverse career spanning military service, instruction, business operations, and project management. During her Army career, she served as a Combat Medic and American Heart Association instructor. These roles strengthened her medical skills as well as her skills in leadership, communication, training, and service. Following her military service, Bibiana continued her career in business operations and project management in both the non-profit and private sector.

Bibiana holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. Her professional development has also included experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, Lean Six Sigma principles, change management, project management, and strategic operations. She remains committed to continued professional and academic growth as she expands her leadership capabilities in public administration, organizational strategy, and service to the veteran community.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Bibiana is a proud mother of two daughters and values family, lifelong learning, and service to others. As both a Veteran and public servant, she brings a personal connection to the mission of supporting those who have served. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in the belief that meaningful leadership is demonstrated through service, integrity, accountability, and creating opportunities for people and organizations to succeed.
