About the Scholarship

The North Carolina Children of Wartime Veterans Scholarship Program (the Scholarship Program) was created by the North Carolina General Assembly to honor the services and sacrifices of the state’s war veterans and their families. For eligible recipients, the Scholarship Program applies to North Carolina schools and can be used for eight academic semesters (up to four academic years). Once awarded, the student recipient has eight years to utilize the Scholarship Program over the course of eight academic semesters.
