NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AND VETERANS AFFAIRS (NC DMVA)

Roy Cooper Larry D. Hall
GOVERNOR SECRETARY
8 May 2020
Dear Ms. Kerry Irvin:
On behalf of the North Carolina’s more than 800,000 active duty military service members, veterans, and their families, it is my honor to recognize you with the NCDMVA Military Spouse Award. The State of North Carolina truly values the relationship we have with our Armed Forces, and those who support our soldiers, pilots, and marines. Military spouses have just as great an impact on their communities, families and friends as active duty service members, and sacrifice alongside their loved ones. Your contributions have made North Carolina a better place to live, work and raise a family.
Your active participation in the military community has made you more than deserving of this award. As a Senior Soldier and Family Readiness advisor, you have given back to other military families and helped them confront their own unique challenges. As President of the Association of Bragg Spouses, you have shown a willingness to lead in your community and set an example of what it means to be engaged. Perhaps most importantly though, as a military spouse, you have chosen to aid in the defense of our nation, and committed yourself to the principles and values we hold dear as Americans and North Carolinian
It is an inspiration to witness your commitment to your family, and the Armed Forces of the United States. Congratulations to you on this occasion, and may you continue to be an example of service to us all.
Sincerely,
Larry D. Hall, Secretary
